About us
Dedicated to audiovisual production excellence
newsydon is an information and training resource for the people who build, light, hear and run television studios and live events in the United Kingdom.
Our mission is to make broadcast craft accessible.
We started with a simple observation: the best studio crews learn from each other, yet most knowledge stays inside individual facilities. Our courses and reference material bring that know-how into one place, written and taught by people who work in control rooms and on studio floors every week.
From broadcast studio design and camera control systems to professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows, we focus on the practical details that decide whether a live show runs smoothly.

Picture first
Every lesson starts from what the audience sees on screen and works back to the equipment.
Sound matters
Clear audio keeps viewers watching, so mixing and monitoring get equal weight with cameras.
Light with intent
We teach lighting as a craft of choices, not a checklist of fixtures.
Calm workflows
Good process removes panic from live production and gives crews room to be creative.
The people behind the lessons
Our tutors combine years of television and live event experience with a passion for teaching.
